Alice Altounian, age 85, January 1, 2011. Dearest daughter of the late Nazareth and Nevart Halajian. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Altounian. Dear mother of Sharon (Lewis) Smith, Shirley (James ) Bruno, Joan (Mihran) Kochyan. Loving grandmother of Alyssa Adrine Kochyan, Lauren Alice Bruno. Devoted sister of Sandy (the late Gabe) Avedian, Dorothy (Haig) Bayleran and the late Vazrig (Patricia) Halajian. Sister-in-law of the late Betty (Altounian) Tarpin and the late Irma (Altounian) Johns. Dear niece of the late Haig and Mary Vartabedian. Also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Altounian was a member of St. Sarkis Mister & Misses Club and the ARS Maro Chapter.

Visitation Friday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster (South of Ford Road) with Dan Gark prayers at 7:00 p.m.

In state Saturday 10:00 a.m. in St. Sarkis Armenian Church, Dearborn, until time of service at 11:00 am. Entombment Woodmere. Memorial tributes to St. Sarkis Church.
