Alphonse 'Al'
Victor Tupakavich
March 27, 1929 – March 7, 2021
Al Victor, owner of Victor Music Studio in Westland. Age 91. Passed peacefully, Sunday, March 07, 2021. Beloved husband for 38 years of the late Joanne. Dearest father of Steve and Sue. Loving and proud Papa to Nathaniel, Carly, Anthony, and Austin. Cherished and loving brother-in-law and uncle.
Al was the proud owner of Victor Music Studio in Westland for 54 years up until 2018, at which time he was 89. Impressive for sure! His first true love was the steel or 'Hawaiian' guitar, in which he was self-taught. After high school, he played the steel guitar in a couple of bands. After having proudly serving our country in the Army, Al began his musical career journey. In the early years, he taught guitar for eleven years. He kept meticulous record of each and every student through those years which will be available for viewing at the memorial. He then proudly began serving the musical community providing sales and service of various kinds. Even better was the knowledge he instilled as he provided one-on-one service. He had a kind, listening ear and could chat your ear off if given the opportunity. People loved it.
Al was also quite an AMAZING artist. He began his talents at a young age and as his talent grew his work was stellar. Through 38 years of marriage he made each and every card for his late wife, Joanne. Now that's romance!!!
All of this accomplished while being legally blind. Quite something indeed. May Al have touched your life in some way as you may have done for him. You could do his memory no greater honor than to remember the sweet, funny natured man that he came to be through stories told.
The family would like to thank the staff at Angela Hospice for their kind, compassionate care during Al's final days.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, March 21, 2021 at John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 N. Inkster Road, Garden City, Michigan 48135. Memorial Visitation 3:00pm -7:00pm with Eulogy/Life story, readings, and Time to Share to begin at 5:30pm in the Chapel.
