Amelia Jo Oliverio Age 65, of Garden City, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer that lasted over a decade.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Oliverio, Jr., and the nephews who she adored: Antonio (Haley) Oliverio, Christopher (Malena) Oliverio, and Zachery (Kaitlyn) Oliverio. She was a devoted great aunt to Averi, Leia, and Nolan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lona and Robert Oliverio, and sister-in-law, Dawn Oliverio.

Born on June 3, 1957, in Garden City, Michigan, Amelia was a fixture in the local community and served in roles at Garden City Hospital and the Garden City Chamber of Commerce for the majority of her career.

Amelia had a zeal for life that was contagious and found her greatest joy in creating memories with family and friends. She was the consummate host, frequently cooking excellent meals for others and establishing the perfect ambiance in her home. She also enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening, visiting art fairs, and watching Hallmark movies on repeat.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 18, 2023, at John Santeiu & Son Funeral Home from 2-7 PM; rosary to begin at 7 PM. In state on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 10 AM; funeral to follow at 11:30 AM at John Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.
