Angela L. Messisco. Age 87. Angela passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Beloved wife of the late John R. Messisco. Dearest Sister of the late Michael Tucci. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Loving friend of Sister Frances with Little Sisters of the Poor. Angela moved to Michigan in 1948. She was married to John R. Messisco. They had a very loving marriage for forty years. Angela graduated from Marygrove College with a Master's Degree in elementary education. She was a teacher with the Detroit Public School System for 35 years. She taught at Herman Garden, Logan and Barton Schools. Her passion for teaching did not stop there. She also taught religious education classes. Angela and John loved children. They were honored to be Godparents to many children throughout the years. Angela and John were also dedicated to serving the Little Sisters of the Poor. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Angela was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Together they spent countless hours volunteering and helping their community. Angela was a devout Catholic. She brought joy to all. Her loving and supportive ways touched many lives. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Instate 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Henry Ford Village Chapel, 15101 Ford Road, Dearborn, Michigan 48126 until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
