Heaven has gained a special Angel. Angelina (Lena) M. Miklousich (nee Alloco), age 93 of Garden City, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Anton (Tony) for 51 years. Loving mother of Tonie (Roberto) Leon, Donna Malert (Asif Sheriff, lifelong partner) and John (Lori) Miklousich. Devoted grandmother of Robbie (Amanda) Leon, Nicholas Leon (Mia Goran), and Shelby Miklousich. She was also blessed with a great grandson, Jackson. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and her dedicated caregiver Alice Bedgood.

Lena was very well known in her community as she was often seen on her daily walks down Henry Ruff. She was recognized as a lifelong resident of Garden City for 89 years and was awarded that honor by the City of Garden City. Lena was also recognized as one of the oldest parishoners of St. Thomas the Apostle parish (former St. Raphael's). Many also will remember Lena as an avid bowler as she was recognized by her showcase of trophies and plaques. Most recently Lena enjoyed her last few years at Westhaven Manor in Westland where she made many new friends and encouraged others by her determination. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Caroline Allocco, her siblings whom she dearly missed, Sam, Dominick and John Allocco and Pauline Habicht, and her son-in-law, Joseph Malert.

Visitation will be Friday 2 pm until the 7 pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Saturday 9:30 am followed by the 10 am Funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Internment at St. Hedwig Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Angela Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
