Angeline B. Sarata born March 5, 1930, died September 19, 2021.


Angie was born to Adam and Rosalia Murzin on March 5, 1930. As a child in the depression years, Angie lived an impoverished childhood which served to make her a very strong woman. At age 13, she began working at the Bungalow restaurant in Dearborn. Combining work and school was a challenge, but Angie managed to graduate Salutatorian of her class at Roosevelt High School.
She met Peter Sarata at a dance in Detroit and began a life-long love story; they married on November 11, 1950. Angie ended her Bungalow career to raise her three children, Ronald, Patricia, and Peter Jr. Later, she was employed at the Ford Motor Company executive dining room where she remained until retiring at age 62. She enjoyed several years of retirement with Peter until his passing in 2005. Losing Peter was life changing for Angie, but she persevered. She spent her time enjoying bingo nights with friends for many years and even picked up watching the Detroit Tigers play baseball, something her husband would have loved. After becoming severely ill in December of 2020, Angie's condition declined in September and she passed away quietly in her sleep on September 19th. To Angie, her husband and children were her life and she treated them that way.
Angeline is survived by son Ronald & wife Deborah, daughter Patricia & husband Michael, and son Peter Jr.; grandchildren Ronald & wife Candace, Nicole & husband Nolan, Jacqueline & husband Justin; great grandchildren Alice, Adeline, Emerson, and Dashiell.
A viewing will be held at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home on October 1st from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Instate 9:30 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 3965 Merrick, Dearborn Heights, Michigan 48125 on October 2nd until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m.
