Obituary

Age  96

Anna Louise (known as Louise and Nunnie) went home to the Everlasting Arms of Jesus on Good Friday, March 30, 2018.  She was a woman of great faith with a servant's heart!  She lived life full and well!  She showered and nurtured everyone she touched with a Mother's heart of love.  She was deeply loved by her family and friends. She knew Jesus as her Savior, and liked the scripture "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. John 14:6. Her motto for living life was Cherish Yesterday, Dream of Tomorrow, Live Today.

Louise took pleasure and satisfaction in sending greeting cards to every person she knew for every occasion in their life.  She loved taking pictures with her camera of her family and friends.  She made daily phone calls to everyone she cared about and loved.  She made sure every one of her family members celebrated their birthday every year.  Her famous "birthday" numbers always appeared on the cake.  She was known for her tasty foods that she prepared and served to many people over the years.  Her hobby was collecting recipes.  Her children and grandchildren have fond memories of Sunday and Holiday dinners!

Louise was born on October 19, 1921, in Glen Elk, West Virginia.  She was a proud graduate of Victory High School.

In 1942 she married Joseph Ventura, at St. James Catholic Church in Clarksburg, West Virginia.  They celebrated fifty years of marriage before his passing in 1992.

In her first job as a teen, she was a clerk at Sam Lopez Grocery store in the North View section of Clarksburg, West Virginia.  During the 1940's, she worked at Carnation Can Company in Clarksburg, West Virginia. After moving to Detroit, Michigan in 1951, she worked as an Assembler for Ex-cello Corporation and Ford Motor Company.  She retired in 1990.

Louise lived a full and blessed life.  She had two children, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.  At 96 years of age, she was ready to leave here and go home to Jesus.  At 6:33 am on Good Friday, March 30, 2018, she took her last breath here and her first breath in Heaven.  It was truly a "good" Friday for Louise, for Jesus, and for her husband Joe.  All three are united forever!

Louise was the loving mother of Angela (Eldon) Abraham and Joseph (Susan) Ventura.

She was the beloved Grandmother of Colleen (David) Stein, Christa (Brian) Slane, Carrie (Timothy) Whited, Kathy (Chris) Armstrong, Christopher (Leah) Ventura.

She was the cherished Great-Grandmother of Jake, Cody and Ryan Stein; Madison and Drew Slane; Jon and Alyssa Whited; Sophia Armstrong; Llewyn Ventura.

Her parents were the late Joseph and Rosa (Devono) Spatafore, originally from San Giovanni di Fiore, Italy, who settled and raised their family in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

She was the sister of the late Frank (Mary) Spatafore, Anna (John) Oliverio, Mary (Anthony) Marra, Sam (Rose) Spatafore, John Paul Spatafore.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Josephine Spatafore and sister Genevieve Linville, (Clarksburg, West Virginia), and sister-in-law Gloria Spatafore (Clovis, California) and many nieces and nephews and friends throughout the United States and Canada.

Louise will be greatly missed.  As she often said after a funeral, "Life's gotta go on."  Her family is thankful for the wonderful memories she left them, and for her spirit of loving and giving that will continue to be with them in this life until they see her again.  Jesus is alive, and so is Louise!
