Arnold C. Gentner. Age 94. Arnold lived a long and healthy life. He died peacefully on October 16, 2013 in Dearborn, MI. He was predeceased by Rose Gentner, his spouse of 65 years. He is survived by his children, Judith Simpson, James Gentner and William Gentner, and their spouses Lawrence Simpson, Pamela Gentner and Leslie Gentner; his twin granddaughters, Emily Martin and Elizabeth Griffith; and his great granddaughters Hannah, Sarah and Carolyn Martin and Brynn Griffith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Arnold served in World War II as an Air Force First Lieutenant and Flight Engineer. He retired from Chrysler Corporation and then began his own business as a manufacturer's representative, which he continued until his early eighties. He was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed boating as well as ballroom dancing.
A Mass to celebrate Arnold's life will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights on Monday, October 21st. Instate 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m.
A private family entombment will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery & Mausoleum.
