Age 93

Azpasia 'Alice' passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  She had a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born on September 2, 1929, in Regina Saskatchewan.  Her family moved to Windsor when she was 11, where she was raised.
She married William Mellian Jr., her lifetime love in March of 1951. They moved the family to Garden City, Michigan in 1957.  He preceded her in death in August 2018.

Alice loved to love people.  She made lifelong friends wherever she went.  Whether it was Acapulco, Mexico, working at Hudson's for Lancôme as a beauty consultant or Waltonwood Senior Living where she spent the last almost 4 years of her life.  She did receive two awards there for Best Smile and Most Welcoming Resident.

She was a Loving Mother, Grandmother and Gigi.
Survived by her Children… William (Teri) Mellian III, Gina (Richard) Morrison and Marian (David) Grace. Grandchildren…Brian, Derek, Kristin, Nicole, Kenneth, and Justin.  Great-grandchildren….Malora, Maxwell, Liam, Noelle, Evelyn and William. Plus, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Simion and Sarah Donisie. Her Sisters, Mary, Helen, Connie, and brother Danny.  Survived by her sister Gena Bodnar. Plus, several nieces and nephews.

She was an active member of St. Peter and Paul Romanian Orthodox Church.

Visitation Friday 2 pm – 8pm with a 7 pm Saracusta at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Saturday 9:30am followed by the 10 am Funeral Service at Sts. Peter and Paul Romanian Orthodox Church, 750 N. Beech Daly Rd. Dearborn Heights, Michigan 48127.

Burial will take place Monday, December 5th, at 11:00 am at Windsor Memorial Gardens in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Sts. Peter and Paul Romanian Orthodox Church.
