Born on July 26, 1931 in Ecka, Serbia to Aurel and Juliana Magda, Badia married his long-time love, Viorica Ghilezan. Badia and Viorica were happily married for 72 years. In 1969 they came to America and he was assembler for an automotive company.

Badia is pre-deceased by his wife, Viorica Magda; brother, Julian Miok, sister's Aurora Iorga and Marioara Vaiant. He is survived by his, son George Magda and his wife Eva, daughter Luminita Nikodin and her husband Viorel, grandsons Badja Magda, Josim Magda and his wife Daniela, Michael Nikodin, Maxim Nikodin, and great-grandchildren George and Anastasia and several nieces and nephews.

Burial arrangements are under the care of John N. Santeiu & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Michigan. A private service performed by the Very Rev. Father Laurence Lazar will be at the Vatra, St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery in Grass Lake, Michigan.
