Age 80

Barbara was born in Superior, Wisconsin to Paul and Hazel (Anderson) Schultz. Beloved wife of Ronald for 56 years; Dear mother of Daniel (Ileana), and Paula Donnelly; Loving grandmother of Emily, Julia, Rebecca, Raquel, and Rosa; Sister of Keith (Ginny) Schultz, Beth (Stephen) Arnold, Kathy Collins, and David (Ileana Dorn) Sutton.

Barbara graduated from West Chicago Community High School and had an Associate degree from Schoolcraft College. She retired from the University of Michigan Dearborn campus. Barbara was the president of the Swedish Club of Greater Detroit and served the First United Methodist Church Garden City in many roles. She was famous for baking delicious Swedish rye bread and cardamom rolls. Barbara loved to travel. She had visited all 50 states, Scandinavia, Japan, half the providences of Canada, and many Caribbean islands.

Visitation Friday, May 6 ^th , 1 pm – 7pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. Her burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery Monday, May 9 ^th at 2:30pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at First United Methodist Church Garden City.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to F.U.M.C. Garden City.
