Obituary

Betty Jeanne Age 62 of Garden City, passed away peacefully surrounded by the people she loved most.

Betty lived her life unapologetically herself. She was wild-hearted, free-spirited, fiercely loving, and never afraid to be exactly who she was. She had a way of making memories wherever she went, filling the lives around her with laughter, music, adventure, and more than a little Fireball.

At the center of Betty’s world was her husband and love of her life, Steve Precobb. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, music, and memories that will be treasured forever. Her beloved dog, Guinness, was never far from her side and held a very special piece of her heart.

Betty’s greatest pride was her family. She leaves behind the love of her life Steve. Her children: Candice (Russell), Krystle (Keith), and KP (Grace), and her grandchildren, Colin, Jayden, Callie, and Jerry, who will carry her love and spirit with them always. She is also survived by Guiness, her soul dog, her many brothers and sisters, along with countless family members and friends whose lives she touched simply by being Betty.

She loved fiercely and lived loudly. She loved Steve, her children, Guinness, grandchildren, music, eating tomatoes from her garden, and making memories with the people she loved. She didn’t pretend to be anyone other than herself, and that is exactly what made her so unforgettable.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Olive and Albert, her brothers Al and Mike, and her beloved dogs Stubby and Ruby.

Those who knew Betty will remember her not for the number of years she had, but for the life she packed into those years. She was a wildflower, beautiful, untamed, and entirely her own.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace, but there will forever be an empty chair, a quieter home, and a missing voice where Betty should be.

Visitation Saturday, 1pm until family sharing at 7pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Haven of Love Animal Rescue.
