Betty died peacefully after a short illness at the age 89.

Loving wife of the late Robert A. Vorpagel. Beloved mother of Nancy (the late Steve) Wasilevich, Bob (Pat) Vorpagel, and Eve (John) Muscat. Cherished grandmother of Stephen Wasilevich, Robert (Victoria) Wasilevich, Sarah (Evan) Kobes, Dan Vorpagel, Andrew Vorpagel, and Jennifer Muscat.  Proud great-grandmother of five.

Betty worked at Ford Motor Company for 23 years before retiring in 1989.  She always had a great work ethic and was a proud member of the UAW.  Betty was someone that could never sit still and always loved working.  Retirement brought her to Oscoda, Michigan in 1989, where she worked several jobs through the years including Lakewood Shores Golf Course and the Department of Natural Resources.

Betty will lie in state Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral mass at the Church of the Divine Child, 1055 N. Silvery Lane in Dearborn.  She will be buried at Saint Hedwig Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
