Beverly Glotzhober (formerly Coldiron/nee:Davenport). Age 83. April 25, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Clem Glotzhober and James Coldiron. Loving mother of Barbara Campbell, Cathy (the late Fred) Neil and James (Renee) Coldiron. Step-mother of Bob (Bobbie) Glotzhober, Esther (Steve) Portnoy, Martha Glotzhober and the late Betty Kubisek. Cherished grandma of Robert (Jeri-Ann) Campbell, Charles Neil, Audrey (Martin) Bates, James (Jennifer) Coldiron, Chad Coldiron, Lisa (Wayne) Almond, Rachel (Jason) Bradley, Heidi Bristol, David (Kelly) Kubisek, Elizabeth Kubisek, Ricki (Josh) Alford and the late Jerry Portnoy.Great grandmother of 13 great grandchildren. Dearest sister of the late Joan Ziegler and David Davenport. Dear sister-in-law of Joyce Davenport. Mother-in-law of Ed Kubisek.
Service to others was her calling. Beverly, a registered nurse, retired from Wayne County General Hospital in 1984. For 15 years she was a Pastoral Care volunteer at Oakwood Hospital
and worked at the Howard School polling station during elections in Dearborn. Beverly was a passionate reader and gifted in music, gardening, needlework and sewing. She enjoyed sports, conversation and travel. An excellent cook, her recipes are shared by multiple generations. Her kindness was demonstrated in her care for others. Her joy in her first great grandchild was seen even in her final days. Beverly was a frequent participant at the Senior Center in Dearborn, in services at the Dearborn Free Methodist Church and in walking and learning at The Henry Ford.
A life of challenge when she became a widowed mother of three at age 27,Beverly's strength of character and abiding faith sustained her. Loved by her family and friends. She will be missed.
There will be a Memorial Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3rd at Dearborn Free Methodist Church, 2801 South Telegraph, Dearborn, Michigan 48124 until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Memorial gathering (reception) will be held immediately following the service at church.
