Obituary

Bryan G. O'Donnell died January 3, 2022 peacefully in his sleep. He was 58. He leaves behind his nagging wife Nancy, his two stubborn sons Bradley and Tyler, and his lifelong best friend John. The second youngest of 12, he is survived by his sister Nancy and his brothers Tom, Dan, and Robert.

Known for never keeping an opinion to himself, Bryan often coached football games through the TV, and would prolifically read non-fiction books which he thought made him an expert. Bryan is remembered for his secret chili recipe, his grilled cheeseburgers, sipping Jameson, and losing at poker to his friends and coworkers. He loved investigating his family history and heritage, including DNA ancestry tests and taking a trip to the "Old Country" of Ireland. Bryan passed on his "impeccable" genetics, as well as these hard-learned life lessons:

-Value the precious minutes you have been given; work will always be there. Use your time off, take that vacation, and stop putting off that dentist appointment. Never take the little things for granted.
-Be patient, charitable, and forgiving to your loved ones, especially when it's hard.
-One thing at a time. Calm down, get on your feet (even if someone has to help you), get the blood flowing to your legs, and take on the challenges of the day.

His family wishes to thank his friends and coworkers at Ford Motor Company (Michigan Assembly ISA), from which he retired, for their overwhelming generosity and support (and donuts!) upon Bryan getting sick.

Bryan passed away due to complications from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). In lieu of gifts, his family requests you make a donation to ALS of Michigan (and we will find out if you don't!).

As per his wishes, there will be no formal ceremony. Interested parties should look forward to a gathering of friends and family in the spring.
