Buford (AKA "Johnny") Blackburn, husband of the late SherryLee Ann for 66 years, went to his heavenly home on November 1, 2024, at the age of 90.

Beloved father of Mark (Diane), Eric (Sharon), Bryan (Courtney), Theresa (Scott) Wynn, and Steven (Debbie).  Cherished grandfather (Papa) of Christie, Katie, Jessica (Ben), Taylor (Fiancé Joey), and Ryan.  Beloved great-grandfather of Liam, Silas, Elijah, Evelyn, William, Sophia and Oliver.

Buford was born in Franklin County Tennessee, raised in Tullahoma, TN.  In the mid 1950's, he moved to Wayne Michigan where he met and married his wife, Sherry. He served his country in the United States Army from January 1956 to April 1963.  He also was a dedicated employee of the Ford Motor Company for 30 years until retirement.

Buford loved the outdoors! He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening and of course his lawn was a priority.  "Best Lawn on the Block".  He loved taking care of his cars and pool, vacationing with his family in Tennessee & Florida, and a good steak dinner.

Buford always made time for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Buford had a strong faith in God and church!

We thank everyone who was a part of Buford's life.  It is during these difficult times that we see how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such amazing people.  He will always have a special place in all our hearts, and through our cherished memories he will live on forever.

Visitation Saturday 1 pm until the 4 pm Memorial Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.
