Age 101

Beloved husband of Anna. Dear father of Leslie, Mark, and the late Beverly McCauley and Calvin. Grandfather of 16. Great and great great grandfather of many. Stepfather of Atiyah Sabree, Johnny (Crystal) Price, Tyrie Price, Angel Collins, Tadario (Crystal) Collins. Brother of the late Amanda (Frank) Dumas, Martha (Nathaniel) Green, Madison (Mae) Martin, and Esther (Ned) Epps.

Butler was one of the first Black Montford Point Marines where he trained at Camp Lejeune, N.C., which eventually aided in ending the Military's longstanding policy of racial segregation.

Visitation Friday, October 11th , 2 pm – 7 pm.  Funeral service Saturday, October 12th, 1 pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.
