Obituary

Carol Ann (Czarnecki) Boran, age 54, of Novi, MI died March 6, 2016. Carol was born December 6, 1961 in Detroit MI. She was the cherished daughter of Dr. Richard E. and Dolores C. (Kadzielawski) Czarnecki, loving sister of Christine Czarnecki Rohan, David (Mary) Czarnecki and Paul (Kristin) Czarnecki, dear niece of Genevieve A. Czarnecki and loving aunt to Timothy and James Rohan and Steven Czarnecki. She leaves behind her beloved companion, Oscar.

Carol was raised in Dearborn Heights MI. She was graduated from St. Mel grade school and Mercy High School where she was a valedictorian. She earned a BS in Nursing from the University of Michigan and was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

Carol had a passion for caring for others. After graduation from nursing school, Carol cared for the sick at Harper-Grace Hospital in Detroit, working in both the medical-surgical and critical care units as well as the newborn nursery. When she moved to the Kansas City area five years later, Carol joined the clinical team at a family practice office. After her move to suburban Denver, she accepted a position as a nurse at Christ the King parish where she cared for the infirm and homebound including the parish's pastor with her typical compassion and dedication. During her brother-in-law's lengthy illness, she moved to Erie PA to help her sister care for her nephews. Carol moved back to the Detroit area seven years ago where she was able to reconnect with family and friends. She enjoyed playing the piano, tennis, swimming, needlepoint and travel Carol was a woman of deep faith and an inspiration to all who were privileged to know her.

Visitation Monday 2-8pm with a 5pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City. (Between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill.) In State Tuesday 9am followed by the 9:30am Funeral Mass at St. Mel Catholic Church, 7506 Inkster Rd. (just north of Warren).
