Caroline P. McGraw, 84, of Canton, passed away at 4:08pm, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Mishawaka, IN.

She was born April 26, 1928 in Detroit, MI. She married her husband, Norval July 15, 1950. He preceded her in death as did her brother Romanus LaMont and sister-in-law Delores LaMont. She is survived by daughters Diane Walkonis of Jacksonville, FL., Denise (Walter) Ziarko of Elkhart, IN., and son Ron McGRaw of Big Spring, TX., grandchildren Jeff Maletz, Kim Trudnak, Kelly and Zack Walkonis, Ryan, Aaron, Kerri and Samantha McGraw, great-grandchildren Hailey Maletz, triplets: Elliana, Kaison and Maya Trudnak, Dakota and Payton McGraw, Shelby Caswell, sister, Patricia (Donald) Baldwin, brothers Richard LaMont, Robert (Josie) Lemanski and numerous nieces and nephews.

A perfectionist and very talented woman, Caroline was a homemaker, seamstress, upholstered and restored furniture, made wedding cakes, was an artist, wood carver, crafter, an avid bowler and loved to play the lottery. She was known by her friends as being sweet, generous, a little bit of an instigator and always had a smile for everyone.

A gathering of family and friends for visitation will be from 10:30am to 2:30pm, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City. A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will follow from 2:30pm to 3:00pm in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family will forward memorial donations to the national "Alzheimer Association".
