Obituary

Carolyn 'Carrie' Marie Roeslein (nee: Pavelich) Age 92 passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, surrounded by loved ones in her daughter's home where she resided for the last three years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, William; parents Mary and Anton Pavelich; siblings Paul (Alice), Catherine (George) Pazell, Edith, Joseph (Mary), baby Mary, Mary (Leonard) Konarski, Helen and Robert (Helen). She is survived by her daughter Mary (Peter) and grandson Nicholas Oleksiak; many nieces, nephews and friends.


Carrie was born in New Mexico and spent part of her childhood in Telluride, Colorado. After moving to Michigan, she attended Salina School and graduated from Fordson High School in 1939.
Carrie was active and athletic her whole life. She was a varsity swimmer at Fordson and loved Michigan Football, the Detroit Red Wings and especially the Detroit Tigers. She worked her entire life and retired from Oakwood Hospital Nursing Administration and Education, where she worked for twenty plus years.
She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, willingness to help people and animals, and for her devotion to her family and Catholic faith.

Visitation Thursday 2-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 N. Inkster Rd., Garden City(Between Ford Rd. & Cherry Hill). In state Friday 9am followed by the 9:30am Funeral Mass at Church of the Divine Child, 1055 N. Silvery Lane at Wilson in Dearborn.

Donations to Carrie's favorite charities, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital of Michigan and The Friends for the Dearborn Animal Shelter would be greatly appreciated.
