IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlene M.
Zajac
March 16, 1947 – October 22, 2022
Charlene was born in Scranton, PA in 1947. Her parents Charles and Anne moved to Michigan along with her sister Elizabeth, when they were young children. Charlene met her sweetheart, David in junior high school, started dating in high school and were inseparable until the day he passed in 2001. David continued to be her one and only love for the rest of her life.
Charlene is survived by her two children, Julianne, and David, and her three grandchildren, Alex, Chloe, and Toby. Brandon is Toby's brother and she loved him like a grandson and his three daughters. Charlene is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. She had her two best friends, Connie, and Coleen, close to her always.
Charlene lived for parties, get togethers or any sort of celebration. She was involved in the baseball league and helped run their bingo nights. She stayed incredibly close to her high school girlfriends and with them, enjoyed trips, luncheons, reunions, and monthly card nights. They were so dear to her.
She retired from chase bank and had a solid group of women close to her that our family had loved as much as she did. After her retirement, she worked with her son, David at Sportway as everyone's favorite cashier.
Family was important to her. She made the trip home to Scranton as often as she could and would venture to New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington DC to see as many as she could, especially her Uncle Bill, Aunt Flossie, and her dearest Aunt Marge. She was also blessed with her two cousins in Michigan, Joanne, and Mark. Joanne was by her side every step of the way through her illnesses.
Charlene had so much love to give and surrounded herself and those she loved with it.
Charlene was loved by neighbors, our beloved Antonucci family, friends, coworkers, and family.
She lived a full life and made an impact on everyone she met. She was always the life of the party.
She will be missed by many but now is in the arms of her one true love.
