Charles A. Williams Age 80, March 21, 2012, of Northville, formerly of Dearborn.
Beloved husband of Selma (nee Attie). Loving father of Carla (James) O'Neill, Karen Busemann, Mike (Alicja) Williams, and Gary Williams. Adored grandfather of Shannon O'Neill, Steven Williams, Lauren Busemann, Bryan Busemann, Michaela Williams, and Logan Williams. Brother of Jimmy Williams and the late Beverly Williams; half-brother of Brenda Bardon, Freeman Borchardt, Mark Borchardt, and the late Floyd "Solly" Williams.Brother-in-Law of Herman Attie, Lila Tobias, and Pam Daunter.
Many nieces and nephews enjoy memories of time spent with their uncle, especially on the golf course, softball diamond and football field.
In his youth, Mr. Williams was an outstanding athlete, and was inducted into the Dearborn Sports Hall of Fame, particularly for his prowess on the basketball court while a student at Henry Ford Community College.
In addition to being an HFCC alumnus, he obtained an engineering degree from Eastern Michigan University, which led to careers at Cadillac Motor Division of General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and later to his own business, as a partner at the sales and engineering firm, McNary Agency.
Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and enjoyed memberships in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the Dearborn Country Club.
He also was an avid traveler, skier, and sailor.
