Obituary
Chester B. Skubik, passed away peacefully at home in Livonia on August 4, 2011, age 80. Beloved husband of Kathleen, for 52 years. Loving father of five: Peggy (Doug) Dreher, Camille (Stephen) Skubik-Peplaski, Bill, Susanne (James) Intriligator, and Nancy. Dear grandfather to 11: Matthew, Adam, Amy, Peter, Stephen, Charlotte, Cameron, Claire, Eli, Lily, and Theodore Chester. Son of the late Matthew and Agnes Skubik of Detroit. Brother to Virginia (Gregory) Brescoe, Helen, Carol (Richard) Solak, and the late Sylvia (Thomas) Pacion.
A patient and kind-hearted teacher for more than 30 years, Chester will be remembered fondly by students and staff at Dearborn's Lowrey School and Gibraltar's Carlson Elementary.
The Funeral Mass was held Saturday, August 6, 2011. By his request his remains will be donated to Wayne State Medical School.
