Chesterine Anne Drabicki was born on April 4, 1924 to Andrew and Eleanor Szymczyk. She was the beloved wife of Henry for 72 years. Loving mother of Candace (Frank) Ordonez and Dale (Nancy) Drabicki. Cherished Nana of Justin, Cristina, Dawn, and Amber. Dear sister of the late Edmund Syzmczyk.

Chesterine worked at the University of Michigan as a Librarian for the Graduate Business School. She loved learning new skills and applying them to her work and family life. This included a variety of crafts, from sewing clothes, to decorating sweatshirts and making stained glass art. She taught herself how to play the piano and how to use the computer. It was important to her to do her best and to look her best which she did throughout her life.

She thoroughly enjoyed her grandkids, from baking their favorite treats to engaging them with outdoor games and playing the newest Sega or Nintendo game. What mattered most in her life was going to Sunday Mass and then spending the rest of the day with family and friends gathering for dinner and being outside by the pool.  She loved to travel on family cruises, enjoyed dancing which is how she met Henry, and lived her life to the fullest.

After many health issues, Chesterine passed away peacefully on March 1, 2021. She is now reunited with her loving husband Henry.

In state Friday 12:00 pm at the Church of the Divine Child in the gathering space. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm. She will rest in peace at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
