Christine "Chris" M. Nowak (nee: Bartman). Age 83. Chris passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Nowak and her son, David Nowak. Loving mother of Debbie Nowak and Jeff Nowak. Cherished grandma of Cassie (Dave) Schaumburger and Kevin Nowak. Great grandma of Bradley Schaumburger. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Wanda Bartman. Dearest sister of Lucia (Paul Shane) Bartman and the late Jim (Carol) Bartman. Dear aunt of Cheryl (Jim) Strukel, Shellie (Rob) Pitera, Stacie (Dan) Champeau, Laura Lisiscki, Matt (Liz) Lisiscki, Michelle (Terry) Bone, Andrea Cardinal and Michael (Erika) Lisiscki. Loving sister-in-law of the late Nancy (Mike) Lisiscki. Chris is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Nowak and her cousins, Maryellen Wynn and Larry (Lynn) Wisniewski.

Chris was vivacious and she lived out loud! She loved to travel. She was known to make new friends in every new place she visited. Chris enjoyed the arts and spending time with her friends. She was a very proud member of the Dearborn Garden Club for many years. Chris was adored and loved so very much by her family. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Instate 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 16101 Rotunda Drive, Dearborn, Michigan 48120 until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Chris's name.
