Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cindy Allen, who left this world on 3-11-25 surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, she lived a life centered on love, care, and unwavering dedication to those she cherished most. For over 20 years, Cindy worked at the University of Michigan Hospital, retiring [about 20 years ago]. Beyond her career, her greatest work was in the home and heart of her family. She fiercely protected and nurtured her children and grandchildren, making them the center of her world. With a green thumb and a love for nature, she cultivated not just a beautiful garden but a sanctuary - a place where laughter echoed, memories were made, and her grandchildren found joy and adventure. Summer was her season, and she embraced it fully, creating traditions of canoeing and picnics that brought family and friends together year after year. Her kindness knew no bounds, opening her home to those in need and offering comfort and support without hesitation. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness that will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. In honor of her memory, the family invites you to share a story, plant something beautiful in your garden, or simply hold your loved ones a little closer. Mom, Grandma (NeeNee), Friend - your love was a gift, and we will carry it with us always.

She was a loving mom of Britt (Pam) Harbin, Brooke Harbin, and Ashley (Ryan) Taylor. Cherished NeeNee of Trey, Jacob, Laila, Alexis, Ondrea, Kordell and Keyshawn. Adored great Nee Nee of 4. Companion of Myron. She was very dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many family members and friends.
