CLAY THOMAS POSLER Age 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Dearborn on January 12, 2014. The beloved husband of the late Robin Fisher Posler, Clay was also preceded in death by his father Tom and his sister Helen. He was the loving son of Sharlet ("Papa" Pietro) DiGiorgio of Farmington Hills; the dear brother of Suzanne (Roger) McClow of Franklin, Robert (Mary) Posler of Marshall, Gina (Mike Flevaris) Posler of Livonia and Christopher (Ed Stratton) Posler of Ferndale; stepson of Janice Posler of Sugar Island, stepbrother of Marcus (Nancy) DiGiorgio of Dearborn Heights, Adam Oliver of Sugar Island, Amy (Mike) Gallico of Plymouth and Andy (Debbie) Oliver of Traverse City and nephew of Janice Kimball, Kurt (Jackie) Norris and Donald Posler. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation Friday 3 to 8 pm; funeral service Saturday 11:30 am at John N. Santeiu & Sons Funeral Home, 1139 N. Inkster Rd., Garden City (between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill).
Clay was a generous man of many talents – a poet, a woodworker, a cook, a gardener, a mechanic and an incredible harmonica player. He shared his gifts freely with his family and many friends who will remember his energy, his passion, his raucous laugh and the joy they felt whenever Clay played the blues.
