IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel
Campbell
December 6, 1938 – April 20, 2020
My father passed away today at 9:45 a.m. Though I had been in preparation for this day, the pain is still crushing! My Dad and I had a very close relationship and he gave me unconditional love at all times. I called out for his help at 4 a.m. or at midnight but it never mattered to him. What mattered was he wanted me to succeed, experience Joy and live my life intentionally. He often told me how pleased he was with me, so I think I accomplished his desires.
The plaque from Dale Carnegie sums up my Dad, then and now. He won the "Human Relations Award", and the "He did the most for the Class". He was in constant teaching mode. "What are the Lessons" mode. Nothing in life was ever a failure but more a learning lesson.
Professionally, he was nationally known for his talent as a Sales trainer Guru. He spoke to thousands of people training the best of the best on how to close a deal, retain or earn a new customer. He was an avid runner and completed many of marathons/races, winning best in his age group.
He adored his grandchildren and worked with them each and every time he saw them, teaching them eye to eye contact, handshake etiquette, public speaking and more. He really enjoyed goofing around with them, and challenging them to use their brain and make good decisions.
He retired at 49, and lived a robust life of traveling back and forth to Florida, Tennessee and Michigan. Though my parent's relationship ended, they were still best of friends, with my mother and her husband John helping my Dad at any time, especially immediately after his stroke when my mother was first to the hospital to attend to him.
I will never stop thinking about my dad, especially because he always wanted me to THINK and use my brain. I have enough material to serve me the rest of my life, but the day to day visits ended today. I love you Dad; I love everything you did for me! I will miss you so much. Thank you, Dad!!
