Age 74

Beloved husband of Diana for 54 years. Loving dad of Cristy (Jason) Limke, and Lori (Pat) Coleman. Cherished grandpa of Cameron, Braeden, Christian, Joe, Ashley, Kaeley, Carley, and Lilley. Dear brother of Charlene Hebert. He was very dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Dan was born in Garden City, married his high school sweetheart Diana, and they raised 2 devoted daughters in Warren. Dan and Diana enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage. Dan was a proud Veteran who served in the US Army stationed in Vietnam. After his service, Dan worked as a pressman for 41 years at the Detroit News and then enjoyed retirement at his lake home.

Dan was also a proud Grandpa.  His favorite days were spent cheering on his 8 grandchildren in many sports and attending all of their school events and activities.  Dan loved having family and friends gathered at their house on the lake, taking the grandkids and their friends tubing and celebrating holidays. He was an avid golfer, eagerly awaited the annual trip to Florida with Diana, and enthusiastically watched the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and the Michigan State Spartans.

Dan's love of life and laughter will be deeply missed by all who love him.

Visitation Monday 1pm – 8 pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.  In state Tuesday 9:30 am followed by the 10 am Funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Garden City.
