Beloved husband of the late Joanne. Dear son of Don Hackett and the late Catherine Selewski. Father of Marlee (Mark) Perry. Brother of Patricia Snyder, Don (Michelle) Hacket and Steven (Teresa) Hacket.

David was a truck driver for 16 years for Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. Was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He loved trains and the outdoors especially kayaking on the Huron River.

A private burial will take place at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park.
