David Roark McDonald passed away on January 5, 2013, at the age of 51.Leaving behind "The Wife" Denise (DePlanche), whom he married on December 27, 1980.Loving and proud father of Alyssa Nicole (Andre) Banks and Anthony Mikel McDonald. Papa of four cherished granddaughters- his sweeties - Joelle, Lailani, Anjali and Alivia Banks.Preceded in death by his parents, Harry McDonald, and Dolores (Waggoner) and Louis Rajczi.Dear brother of Don (Donna), Richard (Julie), Brian (Barb), the late Dennis, Dawn, and Chuck (Roxanne) McDonald.Dear uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.David will be remembered by many friends.

A gathering for family and friends will take place at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Blvd., Dearborn MI on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m.

David was one of a kind. Not many people cared as much as he did about other people's happiness and well being.Even in the midst of his own personal struggles David always found ways to do for others. Whether it was lending a hand to a friend in need or just being the local handy man that could get you by with some duct tape and a few screws, you could always count on him to make things work. Dave had a heart of gold and a desire to work for others.He was truly loved and appreciated by the people he touched.
