Age 85

Beloved husband of Sheila for 63 years. Dear father of Dawn (Jim) Strzalka, and Lynn (Michael) Palko. Loving grandfather of Sarah Robine, Jessica (Jared) Conroy, Joshua Strzalka, Charlie and Lillian Palko. Brother of the late Janet (Gary) Bennett, Barbara (Jim) Worden and Allen (Cathy) O'Rear. Son of the late David A. and Marian O'Rear.

David graduated from Dearborn High School in 1956 and joined the US Air Force Air National Guard where he became a Staff Sergeant at Selfridge Air Force Base for 9 years. He studied automotive design at Meinsinger's School of Art and Design. David worked at Ford Motor Company in Illustration and Design at Body Engineering, retiring in 1996 after 40 years.

Beloved by all who were blessed to know him… the most wonderful, humble, gentle, and kind, loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother, and friend.

We will miss him terribly, but we find peace in knowing he is resting with Jesus…until we meet again.

Visitation Thursday 2pm – 7 pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In state Friday 9:30am until the 10:30am Funeral Service at the Garden City Presbyterian Church.

Luncheon immediately following the service at DeLuca's Restaurant, 27424 Warren Ave., Westland.
