Age 94

Beloved wife of the late William. Loving mother of Paul (Susan), Hollis Stuart, Laura (Tom) Peterson, and David (Aisulu). Cherished grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 8. Dear sister of Nancy (Bill) Haapala & the late Janet (Richard) Davis.

In 1958, Della joined the Garden City Garden Club, a moment that sparked her lifelong passion for gardening and floral arranging. She lived to learn and share her love of flowers and gardening with others. She held many leadership roles within each club she joined and became an accredited flower show judge. As much as she loved her hobbies, the friendships she cultivated through the years were the greatest reward.

Family was everything to Della. She loved each and every family member and cherished each visit making sure they knew how much they meant to her. She enjoyed giving books as gifts to encourage the love of reading and learning, especially giving books to children.

She enjoyed her adopted family at Independence Village and StoryPoint whose staff made her last few years rich beyond measure.

In state Saturday September 13th, 10 am until the 12:30pm Funeral Service at John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials to Williams Syndrome Association, PO Box 297 in Clawson MI 48017.
