Beloved wife of the late Leonard. Dear mother of Carrie, Brian, Sheri (Micah Hudson), and Leonard Jr. (Jaimie). Loving Mimi of Raelyn Mae, Lenny III, Anthony, Hadley, and granddaughter on the way. Sister of Glenn (Sue), Gary (Theresa), John Jr. (Marcella). Diane is preceded in death by her parents Edmund Joseph Szoff, Ellen Maureen Lyp & John Joseph Lyp Sr.

Visitation Sunday 2 pm – 7 pm  with a 6:30 pm Scripture Service. Funeral Service Monday 11:30 am at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Diane was born on September 25th, 1958 in Lincoln Park, MI, as the third born and passed away on June 24th, 2024 in the comfort of her home. Diane graduated from Cherry Hill High School in 1976. In 1980, Diane married the love of her life Leonard and shortly after had and raised their 4 children, Carrie, Brian, Sheri & Lenny Jr. while residing in Inkster, MI. Diane and family later moved to Westland, MI where they had their dream home built and many amazing memories were made to often include Diane cooking and baking for family dinners & gatherings.

Diane retired from Art Van Furniture after 19 years and was then able to spend even more time doing what she loved most, serving her loved ones. She dedicated her life to her family and loved nothing more than spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. While not serving her family, Diane loved to crochet, watch cooking shows, and bake her famous cakes, cupcakes and more. Diane will be remembered for her selflessness, nurturing ways, positive attitude, strength and resilience. She was a wonderful Wife, Mom, Mimi, Sister, Sister-In-Law & Friend. The love that Diane showed others and the example that she led will never be forgotten.
