Donald Louis Cutaiar joined his wife Elaine, father Louis, son Donny, and son in law Michael in Heaven on August 19, 2021, after 88 wonderful years. Donald is survived by his children Laura Barnes, Michael (Luann), Ann (the late Michael) Logan, Beth (Harry) Henderson, Mary (Rich) McKee, and Kathy (Jeff) Stafford.

Donald was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and GG to his wife, their seven children, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to him, and he never missed an opportunity to show his support anyway he could; be it attending sporting events or graduations, he always made sure he was there.

Donald was a life-of-the-party type of person with a great sense of humor that could make even the grumpiest child laugh. He always kept his cookie jar filled to the brim with Oreos and almost never missed a Detroit sporting event as a life-long Red Wings and Tigers fan.

He spent over 30 years with the Union Pacific Railroad company while also working for the Red Wings' organization for 40 years. Donald was a hard-working man, often sacrificing his own time to provide for his family.

Donald will be missed dearly but we will all smile knowing he's reunited with Elaine, Donny, Louis, Michael and many others.

A visitation service will be held at John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 N. Inkster Rd, Garden City, MI 48135 on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 2-8 PM. In-state will be held at 10:30 AM the following day preceded by a mass service at 11 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 34530 W. Michigan Ave, Wayne, MI 48184.
