Devoted, loving husband to wife, Mary for over 60 years. Beloved father to Janice (Greg) Fedo, David (Mary) Hellie, Robert (Marcelyn) Hellie, and  Mark (Cheryl) Hellie. Loving grandpa to Shane, Kaitlyn, Giselle, Megan, and Matthew.  Loving brother to Dale (deceased). A kind, generous, trusted, fun-loving uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to all who knew him.

Donald was born and raised in Ironwood, Michigan then resided in Dearborn, Michigan over 60 years. He was a graduate of Michigan State University and graduate studies at the University of Texas. Served in the United States Air Force 1950 – 1954, and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church since 1961.  He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Visitation Friday, October 26, 2018, 3-8 pm with the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City (Between Ford Road and Cherry Hill).  In State Saturday, October 27, 2018, 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service at Hope Lutheran Church, 3640 Madison Street, Dearborn (East of Telegraph Road and South of Michigan Avenue).
