Dora Mosquera, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. Born on June 24, 1932 to the late Ramon and Manuela Baamonde. Dora lived a life centered on faith, family, kindness, and service to others.

Dora was the beloved wife of the late Alphonse, with whom she shared a loving marriage beginning on October 16, 1954. Together they built a strong and devoted family that remained the center of her life.

She was a loving mother to Joseph, Raymond (Marie), Philip (Linda), and Robert. Dora was also a proud grandmother to Wendy Marquette (Mike), Jason (Melissa), Andrew (Shannon), and Victoria Brooks (Stephen), a cherished great-grandmother of 10, and great-great-grandmother of 3.

Dora worked as a bookkeeper in the Accounting Department at the Detroit Race Course during the 1970s and 1980s. Beyond her career, she dedicated many years volunteering with the Pro Life movement at the AAA Pregnancy Resource Center in Livonia, where her compassion and caring spirit touched many lives.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Dora lived with kindness, humility, and generosity. She always placed the needs of others before her own and loved her family with all her heart. Her gentle spirit, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her faith will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Dora will be greatly missed and forever cherished by her family and friends.

Visitation, Friday 2-8pm with a 7pm Scripture Service at John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc., 1139 N. Inkster Road, Garden City, Michigan 48135 (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill). In state Saturday 10am until the 10:30am Funeral Service at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard Street, Livonia, Michigan 48150 (at Plymouth Road).
