Dora Elizabeth Rehberg, age 91, Dearborn, MI, passed away February 26, 2010 at home with her family near her side. Dora was born on October 18, 1918 in Port Huron, MI. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Lynch). On June 12, 1948 she married the love of her life, Ernest Louis Rehberg. Dora was a member of Divine Child Church and active in the Altar Sodality for much of her life. She Volunteered for over 25 years at the Little Sisters of the Poor and at COTS in Detroit. Dora loved to garden and was an avid knitter and crocheter. She spent many an enjoyable afternoon lunching and playing cards with her "Crazy Eight" friends. Dora and Ernie loved to travel in their retirement years. One of their favorite trips was to Ireland with daughters. Dora was a loving mother who devoted her life to her husband and children and was never happier than when her family was gathered together. She will be forever with us as we remember her strong 'Irish' heart and her sweet smile. She will be missed by all. Left to cherish her memory are Ernie, her husband of 61 years and her five children: Anne (Kenneth) Schmidt of Bay City, MI, John (Kathy) of Livonia, MI, Mary Ellen (Jean Scanlon) of Fowlerville, MI, Paul (Jeri) Of Dearborn, MI and Richard (Michele) of McCall, Idaho. She was a loving grandmother to Alicia (Robin) allen, Rebecca Schmidt, Katie (Ryan) Hillard, Timothy (Andrea Coronado) Schmidt, John II, Rob, Rebecca, Aja (David) Gregory, Xavier and Sara Lenda. She also leaves behind four great-granddaughter: Madeline and Emelia Allen, Adia Hillard and Ivy Gregory.

Visitation Sunday (February 28, 2010) 3-9pm at the John N. Santeiu and Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd. (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill). In state Monday (March 1, 2010) 10:30am until 11:00am Mass at Church of the Divine Child, 1055 N. Silvery Lane at Wilson in Dearborn. Memorials suggested to Focus Hope or Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
