Obituary

Doris Marion Eckert Holt, Age 91, died peacefully in her sleep on April 14, 2015 after a long illness.She is preceded in death by her loving husband Harrison Holt, parents Anna and Alfred Kampf, brother Alfred N. Kampf and great granddaughter Anastasia DeYonke.She is survived by her children: Richard DeBene, Darlene (John) DeYonke, Mel Eckert and her grandchildren: Lt. Col. Jay (Nikki) DeYonke, Richard DeBene Jr., James, Christopher (Christina) DeYonke and Cynthia (Carlos) Pacheco.Doris is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Alexandra, Katiana, Evelyn, Isabella, Christopher Jr., Johnathan DeYonke and Sophia Pacheco.Doris is also survived by her devoted companion John Carr, Janet DeBene, sister-in-law, Dora Kampf and Cindy Holbrook.
Doris is a 1941 graduate of Fordson High School.She worked as a secretary at Willow Run during World War II for the Henry Ford Trade School and Ford Motor Company.
The family extends its appreciation to her many caregivers including Rachele, Eric, Yolanda, Colleen and others.Visitation at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Blvd. (near W. Outer Drive) Dearborn on Friday 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.There will be a Funeral Service at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:00 am, followed by a procession to Cadillac Memorial Gardens West Cemetery, 34224 Ford Road, Westland, Michigan
