Duane Machak passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 29, 2023, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Julie Machak. Loving father of Meghan (Jeremie) Huot, Justin (Stephanie) Machak and Molly (Randy) Foster. Cherished Papa of Tristan, Zoey, Elliana, Poppy, Hudson, Rory and Ashton. Dearest son of the late Joseph and Ellamae Machak. Dear brother of Joe (Kathy) Machak, Rod (Carol) Machak, Sandy Keller, Dan (Ginny) Machak. Brother-in-law of Sue (Roy) Zuchetto, Kathy (Jeff) Miller and Judy (the late Phil) Pribik. Dear uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Duane was married to his High School sweetheart, Julie for 53 years. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University (Masters). He went on to become an English teacher and a coach for 40 years with the Dearborn Public Schools, most of which was spent at Edsel Ford High School.

Duane was a devoted teacher and coach who loved interacting with his students in his English Humanities classroom and out on the Football and Track field. He was so proud of all of his children's accomplishments both academically and athletically. In retirement he loved spending time with his grandkids, working on projects around the house, reading, listening to music, playing poker and going for walks. He was an avid University of Michigan football fan.

Duane had a magnetic personality and the ability to make everyone in the room like him. He loved music and He will be so very missed by those that knew and loved him.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
