Age 93
Beloved husband of the late Joanne for 58 years. Loving father of Robert (Constance), Jerome (Rosemarie), Paul (Tammy), and Barbara (Rob) Gamble. Grandfather of Joseph, Andrew, Autumn (Bill), Adam (Deanna), Emily and Thomas. Great grandfather of Elliott. Ed was one of eleven siblings of Andrew and Sophie (Bigos) Misiolek.
A veteran of two wars: Ed served in WWII under General George S. Patton in the 3 rd Army's 90 th Infantry Division where he received a purple heart in the Battle of the Bulge, and in the Navy in the Korean War on the USS Fletcher class destroyer Twining DD 540.
A union welder by trade, Ed finished his career with Ford Motor Company at Deaborn's Rouge plant.
Ed enjoyed traveling, fishing and hunting and numerous hobbies including making stain glass figurines.
A life time member of the VFW Turto Post #4644, now Lyskawa Post #7546
A 4 th Degree Knight and life time member with the Knights of Columbus, Coldwater, MI
Visitation Friday 1 pm – 8 pm with a 7 pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City (Between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill). In state Saturday 9:30am until the 10am Mass at St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 19120 Purlingbrook St., Livonia (North of 7 mile, between Middlebelt and Merriman).
Family suggests memorials to the Coldwater Knights of Columbus, c/o St. Charles Church, 150 Taylor Street, Coldwater, Michigan 49036-1345.
