Edward Szurek, Born May 6, 1929, October 20, 2010. Beloved husband of Marjorie Jean (Tormey) Szurek for 50 years. He was very devoted to the love of his life. Marjorie passed June 12, 2004. They are survived by their children Edward M. Szurek, Kathleen (Michael) Stafiej, Suzanne (Donald) Lenz and Debra (John) Parker. Edward is also survived by his grandchildren Kristina (Jeffery) Futrell, Robert (Tara) McLellan, Jennifer Stafiej, Trisha (Elton) Tavares, Katrina (Sean) Moxham, Michael (Melissa) Stafiej, Jacqueline (Tyler) Robinson, Matthew Lenz, Edward Szurek and Joshua Mitchell. Also by his great grandchildren Kalei, Kody, James, Jacob, Jesse, Ryan, Alexandrea, Rylee, Zander and Holly. Edward was a long time employee of the Detroit News Paper unitl he retired at age 62.

Visitation Saturday (October 23, 2010) 3-9pm and Sunday (October 24, 2010) 2-9pm with a 7pm Scripture Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster, (Between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill.) Funeral Services Monday (October 25, 2010) 9:30am until a 10am Mass at St. Theodore Catholic Church, 8200 N. Wayne Road, (bet. Warren & Joy). Edward will be interred at the Cadillac Memorial Gardens West Cemetery next to his wife Marjorie.
