Edwin E. Pierce July 8, 1928 - April 21, 2019

Edwin E. Pierce was born in Kirksey, Kentucky on July 8, 1928 to Mabel and Carlos Pierce. He married Beverly Olive Buckner in 1950. Edwin joined the Air Force (Korean War) in 1951 and was stationed in Hawaii and California. After four years in the Air Force, he returned to his job at Great Lakes Steel for 30 years until he retired.

He was married to Beverly for 68 years, together they had four children Clayton (Joyce) Pierce, Cathy (Don) Larkin, Pam (Mark) Lapshan and the late Eddie B. Pierce. Edwin is survived by seven grandchildren Neil Jr., Kandiss, Jeff, Kevin, Christina, Erik and Mikey and eight great grandchildren, Dominic, Vincent, Alex, Nick, Logan, Mason, Colton and Ryan. He is also survived by his sister, Becky Pierce and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford and his sisters,Joie and Sandy.

Edwin liked to hunt and fish. Another one of his hobbies was breeding canaries. In his later years, he believed in the resurrection to a Paradise Earth.

Edwin passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the age of 90.
