On August 29, 2021, Eileen Koenig passed away peacefully at home, in her sleep surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old. A lifelong Michigan native, Eileen grew up in St. Clair and later relocated to Detroit and then Dearborn where she raised her eight children with the love of her life Donald Koenig. Despite her large family, Eileen always made time for everyone making them feel loved and special. She always provided unconditional love to her family. Eileen loved to swim, play cards, spend time with her grandchildren, play golf and traveled to Ireland several times in search of her Irish heritage.  Eileen insisted that everyone have a good time and resonated a "can do attitude."  Eileen was a member of St. Constance Catholic Church in Taylor.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Charles for 62 wonderful years. Loving Mother of Robert (Carol), Patrick (Tina), Donald (Karen), Roy (Nadine), Raymond (Jennifer), Margaret (Mike), Eileen Inman, and Michael (Karen) Cherished grandmother of 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren with another great grandchild due soon. Sister of the late Harry Murphy, George Murphy, Ethel Anderson and Margaret Klemmer.

Visitation Friday 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the John Santeiu Funeral Home. In state Saturday 9:30 am followed by the 10 am Funeral Mass at St. Constance Catholic Church in Taylor Michigan
