Obituary

Elizabeth Maria was born in 1942 to Elizabeth and Alexandru Agopcsa. The oldest of seven, she will forever be remembered by her siblings Alexandru (Melania), George, Istvan, Eva, Arthur (Maria). Her sister Rose and mother and father preceded her in death.

She married Petru Muntean and had two children, Aurora and Gabriella. In 1974, at the age of 32, she and her family came to the United States.

A devout Catholic, she found fellowship at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Dearborn, Mich. Elizabeth was an active and passionate member of the church for many years, including singing in the choir and participating in the Ladies Auxiliary.

Elizabeth was a hardworking and caring individual. Her calling in life was to help people and, throughout her life, she helped many. After receiving her Paralegal degree, she worked as an immigration coordinator, leading to many life-long relationships. She assisted immigrant families with citizenship applications; found employment for those out of work; donated to those in need; and opened her home to many.

Elizabeth loved her family unconditionally. She raised two daughters, and when the time came, she fully embraced her role as a grandmother and great grandmother. Elizabeth was known as Anya to her grandkids and great grandkids. She was very proud of her family, and nothing made her happier than when they were all together with her. Elizabeth lost her husband in April 2002.

Elizabeth was masterful in kindness, selflessness, giving and listening. She is loved and remembered by her many life-long friends. Elizabeth was a beautiful person, caring deeply for the people around her. She was kind and passionate. She made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed, and the memories and her legacy will live on. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Aurora and Gabriela (Shannon); her grandchildren Adrian (Ashley) and Damian, as well as her great grand kids and many nieces and nephews.

We love you, sister, mom, grandma, great-grandma, dear friend, Elizabeth. Until we meet again.
