Ernest, 94 of Dearborn passed away January 11, 2013 at home. Ernie was born in Detroit. He was the first son of the late Louis and Luella (Halen) Rehberg. Ernie proudly served his country as a Navy pilot in WWII. He was a founding member of Divine Child Parish. He also served as an usher, a member of the Men's Club and a sometime altar server. He retired from Detroit Edison as a service planner. He then moved on to the next phase in his life – gardening. Dad was a member of the Wayne County Senior Gardeners Association and led that group for many years. He also took over many of the duties in the kitchen – he loved to cook! And mom didn't object.

He also leaves behind great-granddaughters Maddy and Mia Allen, Clara Marsters, Adia and Paxton Hilliard, Ivy and Drake Gregory, and many nieces and nephews.
