Ernest C. Rybka, of Salem Township, formerly of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the age of 86.

Ernie proudly served his country for many years, dedicating himself to military service in the United States Navy, Air Force, and Armed National Guard. His commitment to duty and service was a defining part of his life and a source of great pride to his family.

Following his military service, Ernie built a strong work ethic that carried him through a long and dedicated career. He worked at Mack Truck before later retiring from Ford Motor Company. In addition to his civilian career, he devoted 50 years of service to the Dearborn Heights Auxiliary Police Force, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to protecting and serving his community.

Ernie was married twice during his life and was a devoted father and family man. He is survived by his first wife, Barbara McNallen, two sons Michael (Maureen) Rybka, Richard Rybka and his daughter Laura (Michael) DiMambro, as well as his two step-daughters, Tammie and Teri. He had four grandchildren, Margaret (Stephen) Grafton, Alex (Natalie) Rybka, Domenic and Michaela DiMambro, along with great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Samuel, Aiden, and Charlie.

He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Mary Rybka, his brother, David Rybka, and his second wife, Margaret Jane "Janie" Rybka.

He was a steady presence in the lives of those who knew him and will be remembered for his dedication, service, and strength. Ernie leaves behind a legacy of honor, hard work, and service to his country and community. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial Visitation Tuesday, January 13, 2026 12 pm until the Memorial Service at 4 pm, at John N. Santeiu & Son, located at 1139 Inkster Road, in Garden City, Michigan.
