Florence E. Hartwell, age 99 died peacefully Thursday November 4, 2010. She was a lifetime resident of Detroit and an avid Tiger fan. She celebrated her deep faith at West Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 95 years and later at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tylee, her son Thomas and her siblings Ernst (Emma) Tabbert, Herbert (Bernice) Tabbert, Vera (George) Haug, Irma (Albert) Broome, Irene (Howard) Brandt, Elizabeth (John) Summers, and Carl (Margaret) Tabbert.

Engaging, determined and a true lady throughout her life, she will be dearly missed by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Donations in her honor can be made to Historic Trinity Lutheran Church or your favorite charity.

Visitation November 8 & 9, 2010, Monday and Tuesday 2-9pm at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., (between Ford Rd. and Cherry Hill).

In state Wednesday, 10am until the 10:30am Funeral Service at West Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1450 McKinstry, Detroit, MI 48209. Burial is at Glen Eden Cemetery.
