IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gary
Brock
October 27, 1935 – July 22, 2024
Gary Bernard Brock, age 89, of Canton, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on July 22, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gary lived a full life grounded in faith, family, and a strong work ethic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Jay Brock, and Adeline Brock.
Gary is survived by his three children: Gari Ann Brock, Thomas Jacob Brock, and Michael David Brock; and four beloved grandchildren: Thomas Brock (TJ), Kathleen Brock, Elizabeth Brock, and Andrew Brock.
Gary proudly served four years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Bennington, an Essex-class aircraft carrier. A 21-gun military salute will honor his service, and he will be laid to rest with the Navy seal.
He retired from Ingersoll-Rand in Farmington Hills after a distinguished 50-year career as Director of Manufacturing and Engineering Consultant.
Gary enjoyed a lifelong passion for athletics, especially baseball. He took great pride in his son Thomas's minor-league career with the Seattle Mariners and his grandson TJ's recent signing with the Toronto Blue Jays. His hobbies included boating, golfing, gardening, and antique collecting.
Gary will be greatly missed by his family, colleagues, and friends.
