George Joseph Petruski Jr., known as Sonny, was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

Sonny lived 81 great years and was finally reunited with his wife, Eileen Petruski on August 8th, 2023. Sonny passed away peacefully in his home, holding hands with his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph & Christi.

He was born in Pennsylvania on May 3rd, 1942, and lived there until he and Eileen moved to Michigan to start their new life together. They got married and moved into their home in Garden City in 1966, and shorty after, started a family of three sons. Two weeks after moving to Michigan, he started his career at Ford Motor Company. He worked as a millwright for 34 years until he was forced to retire after surviving the Ford Rouge explosion.

He was a proud Marine and served for 4 years stationed overseas in Okinawa and Puerto Rico.

Sonny is survived by his three sons Joseph (Christi), Robert, and David, and his 4 grandchildren Payton, Alyssa, Kyle, and Jack.
